# ServerCrate > ServerCrate is an infrastructure company in Los Angeles (US West Coast). We sell zero-knowledge encrypted backup vaults for restic, hosted Borg repositories, Proxmox offsite (hosted Proxmox Backup Server datastores), KVM VPS and website hosting. Restic connects over HTTPS to a per-customer REST server vault (rest:https://.vault.servercrate.net/); restic vaults are not served over SFTP. Data is encrypted on the customer's machine before upload, and we never hold the encryption key. Unlimited bandwidth, no egress or restore fees. Key facts: - Restic vaults: restic REST protocol over HTTPS, one isolated vault per customer, on ZFS storage in Los Angeles. Only the separate Borg product uses SSH. - Ransomware protection: vaults are append-only by default (the backup key can add snapshots but cannot delete or rewrite them); pruning uses a separate cleanup key. Every vault also gets daily storage-level ZFS snapshots kept for 14 days that no customer or backup key can remove. - Backup vault plans: Free 10 GB (forever, no card); Lite $2/mo for 100 GB; Starter $3/mo for 250 GB; Standard $9/mo for 1 TB; Pro $17/mo for 2 TB; Business $35/mo for 5 TB (waitlist). Annual billing = 2 months free. No egress, restore or bandwidth fees. - Backup Evidence Report: every paid vault gets a signed monthly report answering the backup questions on cyber-insurance applications (offsite, immutable, encrypted, MFA, recency). - Borg repositories: hosted BorgBackup over SSH with an append-only backup key and a separate prune key, from $20/yr for 100 GB (monthly billing from $2/mo). - Proxmox offsite: a dedicated Proxmox Backup Server datastore you add to Proxmox VE, with backup-only tokens, from $30/yr for 100 GB. - VPS: KVM on NVMe in Los Angeles. Dedicated IPv4 on SC-1 ($7/mo) and up; budget SC-0 ($3/mo) shares an IPv4. Cloud servers include an encrypted backup vault. - Website hosting: NVMe hosting with one-click WordPress, free certificates, post-quantum TLS and encrypted offsite backups, from $3/mo. - Payments: card, PayPal and Bitcoin (self-hosted BTCPay). Renewal price stays at the signup price. ## Products - [ServerCrate home](https://servercrate.net/): Overview of encrypted backup vaults, Borg repositories, Proxmox offsite, cloud servers and website hosting. - [Restic backup server hosting](https://servercrate.net/restic-backup-server/): A hosted restic repository: per-customer REST server vault over HTTPS on ZFS, 10 GB free. - [Restic backup hosting](https://servercrate.net/restic-sftp-backup-hosting/): What to look for in a restic repository host.
